The youngest in the trio of Glenallachie’s cask finished whiskies, released in mid 2019.

Whilst the 10 year old and 12 year old offerings enjoy more traditional finishes in Port and Sherry casks respectively, this bottling has been aged for period in rye whisky casks from Chicago’s innovative Koval distillery.

The rye cask has imparted delicious spicy flavours to Glenallachie’s naturally delicious spirit. The final result offers up notes of rye bread, vanilla, maple syrup, slight dill, chopped mint, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, slight red chilli, green apples, malt, cereal sweetness and cloves.

A really interesting whisky, this bottling is presented at 48% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, ensuring an intense, full bodied dram.
