Batch 5 of Glenallachie’s popular 10 year old Cask Strength series.

Matured in a combination of PX and Oloroso sherry puncheons, alongside a small number of Virgin Oak and Rioja casks, this dram is not lacking in flavour.

Batch 5 delivers intense, thick flavours of honey, leather, treacle tart, pecans, dried fruits, chocolate, espresso, orange rind, ginger, sherried oak, and bananas.

Despite being 55.9%, this is a very drinkable dram, though it sacrifices nothing in intensity.
