Another beautiful Ballechin from Edradour, forming a part of their superb Straight From the Cask range.
This peaty Highlander has been aged for 12 years in a single Bordeaux cask (number 398), imparting to the spirit a wonderful fruitiness.
Drinkers can expect notes of rich, earthy peat, accompanied by notes of bright malt, cherries, strawberries and raspberries, red grapes, wine tannins, dark oak, dried fruit, citrus rind and vanilla.
A dense and decadent whisky, which is bottled at a robust cask strength of 55.7% ABV, and without chill filtration or artificial colouration.
Truly delicious stuff, just 410 bottles of this dram were produced.
