The third bottling in Angostura Rum’s Cask Collection No. 1 is this delicious sherry cask finished rum.

A blend of 22 year old rums from the Trinidadian distillery, which have been matured initially in American oak, before a long finish of nine months in first fill Oloroso sherry casks.

The result is a soft, supple and complex rum with a wonderfully rich palate. Drinkers can expect notes of hazelnut, leather, raisins, dark oak, cinnamon, cloves, burnt brown sugar, toffee, milk chocolate, pineapple, overripe bananas, slight liquorice and slight grainy sweetness.

A rum of a rare quality, with the sherry adding a real extra dimension.
