A green walnut liqueur from Nusbaumer, Nusswasser roughly translates as ‘nut water’.
The liqueur is made with green nuts harvested during Saint John’s Day, 24th June. As the shells are not yet hardened, the nuts are still under ripe and green, providing plentiful aroma and flavour. These nuts are macerated in alcohol, producing a liqueur with notes of sweet nuts, green wood, subtle spice, wine, toffee and brown sugar.
