An extremely powerful and intensely sherried whisky from the Highland distillery Edradour.

Historically this tiny distillery required only three men to keep the operation going, in recent years they have increased efficiency: it now only needs two.

This whisky has been matured in a single sherry butt for 13 years, having been distilled on the 28th of June 2005 and bottled on the 13th of September 2018.

Edradour 13 serves up huge notes of thick, jammy red fruit, with strawberries, cherries and cranberries at the fore, followed by some dried fruit and cinnamon spice, and a little clove, red wine, cigar leaf, almond, black coffee, dark chocolate and syrupy red grapes.

Bottled at an extraordinary 66.3% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, this is one of the most intense Scotch whiskies you are likely to encounter.

The bottling is beautifully presented in an Ibisco Decanter, only 569 of which are available.
