Yet another superb single cask Edradour from the distillery’s long-running, and extremely popular, Ibisco Decanter series.
This dram was distilled on the 20th of March 2009, and bottled on the 19th of May 2021, having spent 12 years in what appears to be a particularly active sherry cask.
The result is a deep, dark Edradour single malt – with one of the most intense colours we’ve ever seen. The flavour profile is just as assertive, with notes of: cola, dark chocolate, leather, dates, raisins, plums, espresso, treacle, honey, almonds, sweet malt and rich oak.
Bottled at 54.9% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, this Edradour is full in mouthfeel and body.
Just 627 bottles were produced.
