A well-matured expression from Edradour’s heavily peated range, Ballechin.

This is batch one of a new 18 year old cask strength series for the brand.

After a long maturation, the whisky has developed plenty of character and flavour.

The whisky delivers notes of delicate mineraly peat smoke, burnt malt, wood smoke, rich floral honey, apples, grapes, melons, cherries, cinnamon, cloves, pepper, ground ginger, toasted nuts, leather, old oak dried fruit and tobacco leaf.

Bottled at a warming 50.9% ABV, this is a beautifully balanced and well bodied whisky, and an excellent example of the Ballechin style.
