A beautiful addition to Edradour’s (Scotland’s smallest distillery) fantastic Straight From The Cask range. This whisky has been aged in one of our very favourite cask varieties, Sauternes Cask. The sweet wine that the barrel previously held imparts delicious fruity and dessert notes to Edradour’s classically spicy, malty and toffee-rich Highland single malt. It is a truly excellent example of the effects of a high-quality cask on a whisky. This single cask bottling was distilled on the 27th September 2006, and bottled on the 17th of July 2017, having been aged 10 years. The whisky is presented at a natural cask strength of 59.8% ABV, and without either chill filtration or artificial colouration. Just 387 bottles of this lovely whisky were produced, each with their own handsome little wooden case.
