A delightful 10 year old Oban single malt from Diageo’s 2022 Special Releases.

This whisky was initially aged in a combination of refill and virgin American oak barrels, before being matured again in former-sherry and Amontillado seasoned casks.

The spirit itself offers notes of vanilla, cherries, cardamom, toffee, bright new oak, subtle notes of buttered currant buns, vivid cinnamon and nutmeg, apples, cloves, some chopped mint and tobacco leaf.

The bottle is named ‘The Celestial Blaze’, and features a cosmic rabbit in the stars - a reference to the fact that Aurora Borealis can be seen from Oban Bay.

This whisky is presented at a cask strength of 57.1% ABV.
