A terrific single malt from the beloved Glenfarclas Family Cask series.
This series highlights spectacular vintages from Glenfarclas’s extraordinary reserve of Speyside single malt whisky, which goes back more than 50 years.
This particular bottling is a single vintage 1991 whisky, which has been aged in a sherry butt until it was drawn for the summer 2022 outturn.
The dram offers notes of rich toasted malt, chewy dried fruits, leather, sweet and sour cherries, raspberries, raisins, figs in syrup, humid dunnage warehouse, plums, cinnamon, oak, ginger, cardamon, wine tannins, lemon rind, toffee, black pepper and a lick of tobacco smoke.
Bottled at a warming 55.6% ABV, this is a thick, intense and warming dram.
