This 1987 vintage dram (part of the winter 2018 outturn) continues this legacy, having been aged for 31 years in a single refill sherry butt, developing exceptional complexity and depth.

This bottling offers a restrained, elegant sherry influence, with notes of nutty sherry, currants, sandalwood, liquorice, dried apricots, orange blossom, milk chocolate, malt, buttery oak, bananas, figs, black pepper, cinnamon and baked bread.

This is a sophisticated sherry cask dram from another era, not the hefty ‘sherry bombs’ of the current market, but a well-balanced, beautifully crafted whisky. A testament to the spectacular inventory of stock that Glenfarclas boasts.

Bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration, this is a luscious and assertive whisky.
