A dark, intense sherry cask dram from the acclaimed Glenfarclas Family Casks series.
The Family Casks range highlights the incredible reserves of whisky at Glenfarclas’s command, with each single cask bottling in the series specially selected by the Grant Family, who own Glenfarclas.
This single vintage 1989 bottling has been aged in a single sherry butt for more than 30 years, having been bottled in the summer of 2022.
The end result is a bold, muscular and powerful whisky, with notes of cherry jam, leather, cinnamon, baked apples, cinnamon, dark chocolate, leather, coffee, nuts, dried flowers, redcurrant jelly, raspberries, old oak, some dried garden herbs, dark cinder toffee and plums.
A classic, well aged Glenfarclas, bottled at a robust cask strength of 52.3%.
These are the bottlings this series is all about.
