A wonderful 2009 vintage whisky from one of our favourite distilleries.

Glenfarclas is already one of the more festive distilleries, with its classic notes of dried fruit, spices and sherry creating a very Christmassy profile. This yuletide connection is even stronger with this bottling, a special Christmas edition that was distilled in December 2009.

The spirit has been aged in a small selection of Oloroso sherry butts, in the traditional Glenfarclas style.

The whisky offers powerful sherry notes, with flavours of dried plums, rich gingerbread, dark oak, a little cedarwood, honey, cloves, cinnamon, malt, leather, and nutmeg.

This ‘farclas is bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration.

It almost goes without saying, but this would make a fantastic Christmas gift for any whisky lover!

Just 3,000 wintery themed bottles were produced.
