A marvelous long aged rum from Nicaraguan distillery Flor de Cana. The classic estery style of this Central American rum is well suited to the mellowing effects of long maturation, and this has produced a wonderfully well balanced spirit. Nicaragua enjoys some of the most fertile land in the world, due to the high amount of volcanic activity in the region. This means that the cane the distillery uses is of the very highest quality. This is reflected in the eventual product, a rich and flavoursome rum, which rewards patient drinking in a nosing glass, bringing waves of tropical fruit, vanilla and toffee. Beautifully presented in a decanter style bottling, this is simply a fantastic all-round product from Flor de Cana.
