A special edition bottling of Nicaraguan rum Flor de Caña, which celebrates 100 years since the distillery was established.
This bottling has a specially designed, brightly coloured, presentation box, which “honours the artists and poets of the world”. The box was designed by Nicaraguan painter Augusto Silva, and displays his artistic depiction of the San Cristobal volcano, which continually emits smoke and gas, and is the most active in Nicaragua. The box also includes an anthology of poetry selected by the Honduran poet Rolando Kattan.
This rum has been tropically aged for 18 years, giving it a truly incredible complexity and depth. The bottling has a creamy mouthfeel, with delicate flavours of tropical fruit (peach, mango, banana, apricot), orange blossom, cigar smoke, fragrant spices of cardamom and cinnamon, leathery oak, chocolate, praline, honey, rum-soaked cake and whipped cream.
A superb rum, that would make the prefect gift for any rum lover with an artistic soul.
