A miniature of Filliers signature bottling, the classic Dry Gin 28. Filliers have been producing spirits for over 5 generations, meaning they know a thing or two about putting together a fine gin.
Dry Gin 28 is so named because it is made using 28 different botanicals. The exact recipe is a mystery, but was first formulated by Firmin Filliers, who died in 1965. The gin itself was first produced in 1928, and relaunched in 2012. We do know that this gin contains Belgian hops, angelica root, allspice, fresh oranges from Spain, and plenty of juniper.
These botanicals are distilled in traditional small pot stills, with the fruits and herbs distilled separately.
The result is a complex and delicately flavoured gin, with a nice hoppy bittersweet note complimenting flavours of juniper, almond, ginger, and powerful citrus.
A highly enjoyable gin, which adds superb body and sophistication to any cocktail. This miniature bottling is great for a little taster, or as a small gift.
