Van Wees’s Ultimate Whisky Co. has a habit of picking out these excellent sherried Edradours, and this is another example.

This 2011 vintage was aged in a first fill sherry butt for 9 years, producing a dram that is rich in both flavour and colour.

This Edradour offers up notes of ripe red fruits, plums, cherries, dried apple chips, sweet dessert wine, raisins, walnuts, thick vanilla custard, toasted oak, espresso, liquorice, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bottled at 58.3% and without chill filtration or colouration, just 661 bottles were produced.
