A cracking bottling from The Ultimate Whisky Company, produced at the Edradour distillery.
This offering was aged for nine years in a single first fill sherry butt, having been distilled on the 4th of February 2011, and bottled on the 17th of April 2020.
The result is an exceedingly rich and dark whisky, with notes of dried prunes, dates, plums, jammy red fruits, leather, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange rind, nuts, rich sherry, old oak, toffee, dark chocolate, a little chilli powder and black peppery, and malt.
The Ultimate have bottled this dram at a robust cask strength of 57.1% Abv and without chill filtration or colouration, ensuring its natural flavour and colour can be fully enjoyed.
Just 651 bottles were produced.
