Toiteach (pronounced ’Toch Chach’) is Gaelic for smoky, which is what this single malt from the Bunnahabhain distillery is. Now, Bunnahabhain does not regularly distill peated malt, so this is a great chance to try what a peated Bunnahabhain would taste like. This whisky has been matured exclusively on Islay, a practice which have become increasingly uncommon as distilleries move many of their barrels to warehouses on the mainland.
