This is a fine example of the Rhum Agricole style, which is made not from molasses or other sugar by-product, but from the fermented pressed juice of the cane itself. This creates a grassier, more floral and fragrant style.

12 years in oak casks ensures that this rum has had plenty of time to develop beautiful flavours beyond those natural to the spirit.

Saint James Réserve Privée 12 offers up flavours of nutmeg, allspice, burnt oak, vanilla, tannins, chocolate, coffee, dried fruit, old oak and some cedarwood.

Bottled at 43% for a slight kick in flavour intensity, this is an easy drinking, yet delicious rum.
