An interesting liqueur made with black cherries from the Nusbaumer distillery.

This liqueur is named after guigne, a kind of non-sour black cherry, which is then infused with Kirsch (cherry) brandy. To this infusion a sugar syrup is added and water from the Vosges mountain range is added.

The final product is a sweet, rich liqueur with notes of fresh cherries, marzipan, slightly sour cherry jam, and cherry wine.

Makes a mean Blood and Sand!
