A ripper single cask, indie bottling of ‘the Beast of Dufftown’, Mortlach.

This whisky was produced by Signatory Vintage for its Cask Strength series.

A 2007 vintage, the dram was initially aged in a single hogshead cask, before enjoying a finish in an Oloroso sherry butt.

The end result is a whisky with notes of fragrant tobacco, prunes, sultanas, ginger, nuts, orange peel, rosemary and thyme, vanilla, tannic oak, toasted malt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bottled at a Cask Strength of 51.8% ABV, this is a warming, full bodied sherried whisky.
