A cracking vintage rum from Martinique distillery J. Bally.
Bally is one of the oldest distilleries in Martinique, and produces rhum Agricole, a style that uses the fresh pressed juice of the cane, as opposed to molasses or other sugar by-product. Distilled in 2005, this rum has developed a delightful depth of flavour and complexity during its maturation.
The result is a rich, bright rum that serves up notes of milk chocolate, dried fruits, peppery spice, bright cane juice, toffee, bright oak, tropical fruits and bananas.
Bottled at 43% ABV, this rum has a medium body.
Nicely presented with a map of Martinique on the bottle and box.
