Whisky has sometimes been thought of as “The Elixir of Life”, and whilst we can’t claim any medical or magical properties for this dram, Jura Elixir is a fitting testament to whisky’s history as “the water of life”.

Aged for 12 years, the dram is finished in a combination of sherry and Bourbon casks, producing a final product that is well balanced and flavoursome.

This dram offers up notes of gentle smoke, pineapple, peach, oily maritime flavours (seaweed and salt), toffee, some walnut, a little prune and fig, sherry, mixed spice and some dusty oak.

Impressive stuff, a great entry to this distillery’s range.
