Another tasty looking Jura Travel Retail release, presumably not named after the famously dystopian book and film.

This whisky has been aged initially in former Bourbon American oak barrels, before a finishing period in cask that previously contained Pedro Ximénez sherry.

The result is an extremely flavoursome Jura whisky, which serves up all the classic oily peat and maritime flavours, alongside some delicious notes of jammy fruit, sweet wine, woodspice, toffee and dried fruits.

The dram is bottled at 43.6% ABV, giving these flavours a touch more intensity.

A different, yet delicious Jura.
