Released as part of a revamp of Isle of Jura distillery’s core range in 2018, this is a delicious, mid-level whisky.

Matured initially in American white oak former Bourbon barrels, before being moved over to Oloroso sherry casks for the final part of the aging process. In total, the whisky lay in the cask for 12 years.

The final result is a complex, flavoursome dram that offers up notes of vanilla, dried fruits, oak, earthy fudge, some oily woodsmoke, a little peppery spice, honeydew melon, pears, apples, hay, malt, and lemon rind.

A well made whisky, that delivers a little more complexity than the ten year old bottling.
