A sophisticated whisky from this Island distillery.
Matured in seven different cask varieties, this is a deeply complex dram. Jura Seven Wood is first matured in Bourbon barrels, before being finished in five different wines casks: Vosges, Jupilles, Les Bertranges, Allier, and Tronçais, alongside Limousin oak barrels.
The result is a dram that possesses all of the classic Jura notes of spicy peat smoke, oil and sea spray, but adds wonderful fruity, chocolaty and wood-spice flavours, such as dried cherries, raspberries, citrus rind, mocha and cinnamon.
Bottled at a slightly higher 42% ABV, this is an easy drinking, yet refined single malt.
