Another excellent single cask whisky from Glenfarclas’s celebrated Family Cask series.

This dram was distilled in 1994, and bottled in June 2021, with an age of around 27 years.

The spirit was matured in a refill Sherry Butt, giving the whisky a classic Glenfarclas fruitcake character, and heaps of complexity.

Drinkers should expect notes of delicate dried fruits – raisins, prunes, dates – alongside orange rind, caramel, peach, herbs, old oak, vanilla, malt, dark chocolate, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper.

Bottled at a cask strength of 54.3% ABV, this is a rich, opulent whisky.

Only 540 bottles were produced.
