An iconic and popular expression in the Glenfarclas stable, 105 originally begin as a Christmas gift from the distillery’s manager (George S. Grant) back in the 1960s. This 22 year old version marks an evolution of the original, which adds depth, complexity and dignified oaky flavours.
This series is typified by its powerful, well sherried character. This remains the case with the older expression, which serves up flavours of nutty, oily Oloroso sherry, dried fruits, old oak, leather, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and anise, toffee, wine tannins and citrus.
The whisky is of course presented at a cask strength of 60% ABV (105 degrees proof by the old British system) and bottled without chill filtration or colouration.
A classic, old fashioned Glenfarclas that fans of this distillery will love.
