A yummy Fettercairn bottling from Càrn Mòr, forming part of their series of small batch whiskies, the Strictly Limited range.

Fettercairn is a rather underrated Highland distillery with a heavier, nutty style. This 2009 vintage dram was aged in a pair of Hogsheads for 10 years.

The bottling offers up notes of foam banana sweets, toffee’d malt, toasted coconut, chocolate, mint, apples, mango, pineapple, almond, orange rind, bright oak, cinnamon, nutmeg and creamy vanilla.

Bottled at a warming 47.5% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, this is a satisfying and full bodied whisky.

Just 690 bottles were produced.
