Batch four of this interesting single malt whisky from Highland distillery, Fettercairn.

The Warehouse 2 series pays homage to the dunnage warehouse where the distillery keeps its oldest and rarest casks. This dram has been made using spirit distilled in 2014, aged in a combination of first and second fill American and ‘wire-brushed’ Hungarian oak casks that previously held German pinot noir wine.

The final product is a whisky that offers notes of sweet crunchy malt, mangos, passion fruit, honeydew melon, toffee, cherries, red grapes, peppery spice, pears poached in red wine, citrus rind, raspberry fool, espresso and cocoa dustings.

Bottled at a warming 48.8% ABV for a touch more body.
