A big one liter bottling of this premium blended Scotch from Dewar’s.

Known as “The Monarch”, this bottling is certainly one of the kings of blended Scotch.

A welcome step up from the standard 12 year old, Dewar’s 15 undergoes the same “Double Maturation” process, whereby the spirits are married together for a period in large oak barrels, allowing the component spirits to fully integrate and mellow. Initial maturation involves both Bourbon and sherry casks. The blend includes malt whiskies from prestigious distilleries including Aberfeldy, Craigellachie, Aultmore and Royal Brackla.

The result is a rich and flavoursome blend that serves up notes of sweet grain, oats, almond, hazelnuts, coffee, dark chocolate, sultanas, vanilla, old oak, leather, toffee, mint, cinnamon, nutmeg and further grassy grains.
