A cracking bottling from Highland distillery Deanston.

This 2002 vintage has been aged for 17 years, enjoying a three year finish in Pedro Ximénez casks following 14 years in refill oak. This is the third organic whisky to be released by Deanston, and the second in their limited edition series.

The result is a wonderfully fruity dram that opens with a slightly funky PX sherry note, followed by waves of sweet dried fruit, figs, dates, maple syrup, orange rind, vanilla, oak, milk chocolate and cinnamon spice.

Bottled at a cask strength of 49.3% ABV and without chill filtration, this is a jammy, full bodied dram.

Just 2,505 bottles were produced.
