A truly remarkable gift set from this highly traditional, family owned Domain. Chateau de Montifaud maintains a modest vineyard, in the most prestigious crus of Petite and Grand Champagne in the Cognac region. Here in the clay-rich soil, the distillery grows Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard grapes, each providing a crucial aspect of their spirit’s character.

This set contains 20cl bottlings of Montifaud’s VSOP, Napoleon and XO expressions.

The VSOP bottling possesses an excellent balance between the oak and the fruit, youthful enough to retain the vibrancy of the grape, but oaky enough to round off the spirit and provide, buttery, spicy notes.

The XO is more dignified, with a greater age giving woodier flavours, stronger spice, and richer vanilla notes. The classic floral and fruity flavours are still present, but slightly restrained, and tempered by the French Oak.

The Napoleon is of a similar age, and character, with slightly more cask character, and further dignified notes of leather, oak paneling, treacle and pot-pourri.

Each of these bottles has been hand-labelled before being packed in box with a brown string closure. A fantastic collection from a terrific distillery that all Cognac drinkers should try.
