An excellent sask strength dram from Caol Ila distillery, bottled by Signatory Vintage for their celebrated Cask Strength range.

This 15 year old whisky was distilled back in 2007. After 13 years of maturation, the spirit was finished in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt for two years.

The result is a intensely smoky and sweet sherried whisky, with notes of powerful peat smoke, fresh grassy malt, chocolate oranges, cola cubes, dried fruits, prunes, lemons, dried grapes, liquorice, baked apples, dark chocolate, woodsmoke and polished oak.

Bottled at a cask strength of 53.7% ABV, this is a full bodied and delicious dram.
