Part of a new introductory range launched by Gordon & MacPhail in 2018, this whisky has been sourced from the Islay powerhouse, Caol Ila.

Matured under G&M’s watchful eyes for 13 years, this is a bracing yet sophisticated Caol Ila.

Drinkers should expect notes of white peach, apples, pears, grassy peat smoke, lemon juice, biscuits, cake, white sugar and vanilla.

The whisky is bottled at 43% ABV for a little extra flavour.

A straightforward, yet delicious Caol Ila. If the aim of the Discovery range is to introduce different whiskies to new drinkers, they are off to a flying start with this interesting, yet approachable dram.
