The 6th batch of Bowmore’s terrific Tempest range. These beautiful bottlings are aged entirely in first fill former Bourbon American oak casks.

This specialised cask maturation produces an expertly balanced whisky, with the smoke of the peat perfectly marrying with the sweet, vanilla-heavy flavours imparted by the first fill Bourbon maturation. Expect plenty of barbequed tropical fruits and red berries to crop up in this flavoursome dram.

Boosting these flavours considerably is the fact that this whisky is bottled at a cask strength of 54.9% ABV, not to be trifled with!

This is a surprisingly drinkable, yet powerfully flavoursome whisky that fans of Islay malts will not want to miss out on. One of our very favourite expressions from this distillery!
