The first batch of Benromach’s Cask Strength whisky, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022.
This Speyside sipper was matured in a batch of thirty first-fill Sherry and Bourbon casks, and aged for around 10 years. The final product is a well-balanced whisky, with notes of sweet fruits from the Bourbon cask, and subtle spice from the Sherry. There’s also a waft of gentle smoke throughout.
Expect notes of citrus zest, toffee, vanilla oak, toasted nuts, sweet peat, red berries, plums, pears, cinnamon, nutmeg, cracked black pepper, dark chocolate and blackberries.
Bottled at a fiery 60.2% ABV, this is a full bodied whisky.
