This whisky from the Speyside distillery, Benromach, was initially matured in first fill bourbon casks, and then transferred to casks from the Hermitage Appellation D’origine Contrôlée for a finishing period of 27 months. The Benromach Hermitage is intense and very juicy, with summer fruits, vanilla, white chocolate and an underlying subtle smokiness.
