Another expression in Benronmach’s beloved Wood Finish series.

This bottling illustrates the effect of extra maturation upon a whisky. This dram was first distilled in 2009, then matured in first fill former Bourbon casks, before a finishing period in Château Cissac in Haut-Médoc (Bordeaux) casks.

The result is a delectable, and incredibly fruity whisky, with huge notes of orchard fruits, tropical fruits, citrus and berries. These are accompanied by flavours of wood spice, red wine, cracked black pepper, wood smoke, chocolate cake and butterscotch.

Bottled at 45% ABV, this whisky boasts a full body and mouthfeel.
