A superb Villa de Varda grappa that has been aged in former Barolo “Bottis”.
A botti is a large oak barrel, traditionally used to age Barolo at the Massolino family vineyard.
Villa de Varda use the freshest grape pomace possible, sourced from high quality vineyards. This is then fermented with selected yeasts, and distilled in traditional discontinuous copper stills.
After aging in the botti, the grappa has developed flavours of spicy wine, sweet grape, green wood, herbs, flowers, slight liqourice, oak, vanilla, dried fruits, plums, anise and mixed spice.
Each bottling comes with a luxurious presentation box.
