When Tomatin first presented its Cù Bòcan whisky, it was matured in a mixture of sherry, bourbon and virgin oak casks. This particular bottling, however, is matured wholly in the unusual virgin oak cask. Lightly peated, this is the second release of Cù Bòcan that illustrates the individual cask types used to make the original whisky. As with the delicious sherry cask edition, only 6000 bottles of this whisky were produced. Drinkers should expect bourbon-esque notes of vanilla, fresh oak and toffee, alongside the more familiar light peat smoke.
