Another top notch offering from the fine folk at Gordon and MacPhail. This time round they’ve picked out a single cask of Old Pulteney spirit.
This 2004 vintage was aged in a sherry cask until the 31st of August 2020, when it was bottled with an age of 15 years.
The dram offers notes of red apples and plums, gooseberries, orange peel, dried fruits, freshly cracked pepper, chocolate, ripe bananas, toffee, cinnamon, chilli, dusty oak, sea spray and toasted spice.
A lovely combination of Pulteney’s distinctive coastal Highland style, and fruity, spicy sherry casks.
This whisky clocks in at a hefty 63.3% ABV and is bottled without chill filtration or colouration, ensuring an intense, satisfying drinking experience.
Just 507 bottles were produced.
