The first whisky in the new 13 series of Octomore from Bruichladdich distillery.

Like the other .1 Octomores, this dram has been made with 100% hyper-peated Scottish barley, and aged in ex-American oak – a combination of first fill former Bourbon and ex-Tennessee whiskey casks.

The whisky has been aged for five years, and offers notes of ripe pear, apricot, vanilla, malt, creme brulee, honey, coconut, powerful nutty peat smoke, burnt cereal notes, peat embers and smouldering wood.

Bottled at a cask strength of 59.2% ABV, and with a PPM of 137.3, this is an intensely powerful whisky.
