Another terrific Octomore from Bruichladdich’s “Dialogos” series of hyper peated whiskies.

This bottling has been made from 100% Octomore farm grown barley, from the titular farm on Islay. This barley was peated to an incredible 194 ppm, and aged for five years in former Jim Beam, Heaven Hill, Buffalo Trace and Jack Daniels barrels.

The final product is a super peaty dram that offers notes of sophisticated floral peat, citrus rind, clean malt, drying oak vanilla, honey, orange blossom water, some maritime earthy spice, wood smoke, cinnamon, ash and pipe tobacco.

Bottled at a phenomenal 61.7% ABV, this is a full bodied, fully flavoured whisky.
