This dram was originally released for the Travel Retail market, and weighs in at 49% - which really allows the famed meaty, muscular quality of Mortlach’s spirit to shine through. The spirit has been aged in the same combination of Sherry casks and Bourbon barrels as the Standard Range Rare Old bottling.

Mortlach Special Strength brings flavours of intense malt, apple, vanilla, rich dried fruits, orange rind, tobacco leaf, fresh apricots, Sherried oak and a hint of chocolaty smoke.
