The 2018 edition of this non age stated, Bourbon matured whisky from Nikka.
Distilled in the Japanese “mainland” island of Honchu, the Bourbon maturation shows of Miyagikyo’s fruity character perfectly.
This dram is rich in notes of white peach and yellow plums, flowers, vanilla, oak spice (cinnamon and nutmeg), pear, malt extract, lemon rind and slight anise with some cracked black pepper.
The whisky was bottled at 46% ABV for greater body and intensity.
Sure to be a hit, just 1,926 bottles were produced.
