The flagship bottling of the La Mauny brand, this rum is made with the fermented pressed juice of the sugar cane, giving it grassier cane flavours and an aromatic style. The spirit has been distilled in column stills.
The rum has been aged four different kinds of barrel, giving it a complex and fascinating flavour profile.
Aging occurs initially in former Bourbon and Cognac casks, which supply a firm foundation of vanilla, complex spice, pastry, grape and dried fruit flavours. The rum is then finished in Port and Moscatel casks, imparting notes of red berries, pear, apricot, figs, dark chocolate and golden syrup.
These qualities perfect compliment the rums naturally fragrant and sweet style, with the final product well balanced yet sophisticated and complex.
