Another top notch addition to Kavalan’s Solist series of single cask whiskies.

This whisky has been produced in Taiwan, and was distilled in 2008 before being aged in a single sherry cask (number #042) and bottled in 2019 with an age of 11 years. In the climate of Taiwan, where the angel’s share is much greater, this is a long maturation that produces real complexity.

The result is a rich and deeply fruity dram, which offers up notes of sour cherries, plums, prunes, vanilla, sultanas, dark oak, damson jam, malt, dark chocolate, toffee, allspice, cinnamon and star anise.

Bottled at a powerful cask strength of 59.4% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, this is a full, satisfying whisky.
